This 5-day course aims to introduce you safely and progressively to the basic principles of paramotor piloting; in order to lead you to autonomy by preparing you for the pilot's license.
Procedure
Day 1: Welcome, administrative formalities, presentation of equipment, profile formatting and ground control of the sail, familiarization with the motorization.
Day 2: Simulation of takeoff phases. Two-seater flight, with turning exercises, and field approach. First solo flight with radio.
Day 3: Simple flights, working on the takeoff and landing phases.
Day 4: Flight exercises, U-shaped, S-shaped, and figure-eight approach maneuvers.
Day 5: Continuation of flight exercises and landings with a view to achieving autonomy.
Daily theoretical lessons tailored to the student's progress complement this training.

All our courses are supervised by Thierry SIMONET, ULM paramotor instructor (40 years of experience in soft wing), parachutist, paraglider pilot, weight-shift control ULM, 3-axis, and glider pilot.
MATERIAL
We provide all the technical equipment necessary for the flight, guaranteeing your comfort and safety. We advise you to bring gloves, warm or windproof clothing (depending on the season), and hiking boots.

This 3-day course aims to introduce you to and guide you towards the qualification for carrying a paramotor passenger in a safe and progressive manner.
Procedure
Day 1 : Welcome, presentation of the course, presentation of the equipment, check of acquired skills, solo work on the take-off and landing phases related to the tandem technique.
Day 2 : Flight exercises, presentation of two-seater equipment, passenger care.
Day 3 : acquisition of safety rules related to tandem flight, tandem flights to confirm acquired skills.
Daily theoretical lessons tailored to the student's progress complement this training.

Requirements for access to the instructor training course
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Having obtained a satisfactory result in the theoretical knowledge assessment organised by the DSAC.
- Hold a microlight pilot's license, paramotor class, for two years, or pass a competency level check by an accredited body.
- Having completed at least 70 flights (declaration on honor)
- To hold a paramotor passenger carriage license
- Having radio qualification in French
- Having taken out liability insurance.
- To satisfy the assessment, by the authorized body, of theoretical and practical knowledge, an assessment which will be specified in the progress booklet in the chapter "Report of the assessment before the start of the internship".
- Possible refresher course in piloting skills.
- To pass, using one's own equipment, a flight test defined by the training organization, which will consist of 6 flights, the second being intended to verify the correct correction of any errors made during the first flight (with the exception of safety violations which will result in disqualification from the first flight)

Slow level flight, minimum altitude 150m, 50% brakes, into the wind: Heading and leveling, engine speed, % engine brake safety
PTS or PT8 facing the wind for descent onto the plane: Wing bank, hold in the cone, stop at 30m for the final
Level flight, into the wind, at 5 m altitude over 200 m: Maintaining level, engine speed, roll control - pitch
Touch and go: * Airspace, descent slope control, harness exit, engine-brake control, ground touch + or - 10 m target, raise arms, throttle up, axis control.
Breakdown in the cone mini 200m vertical runway: Engine off, airspace, PTL, PTU, or PTS operation, accuracy + or - 20 m

Debriefing: By the candidate, by the controller
Second flight: 30 to 60 minutes after the debriefing, this flight will focus on any exercises that were poorly executed during the first flight.

Instructor refresher
In 2019 the new decree The regulations for instructor training require a 2-day refresher course and a flight assessment within the year.
- The two-day training course, Primarily conducted in a classroom setting, it provides instructors of all levels with up-to-date information, particularly on:
a) Regulations, legal aspects related to the exercise of training activities, as well as accidentology; ;
b) The human factors, threat and error management, and pedagogy aspects; ;
c) Mechanics and maintenance of ultralight aircraft. - A control flight
The control flight should allow the examiner to appreciate the instructor's ability to deliver training according to the required standards based on the level of technical skill specific to each class.
Control flight: Class 1 paramotor
- Check flights are by appointment, in the year preceding the expiry of the instructor qualification.
- Flights are preferably done with your own equipment, but it is possible to rent equipment from the school.
